This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used by Klovis Technologies Ltd ("Klovis") on kloviscrm.com, in the Klovis app at app.kloviscrm.com, on booking pages and help centres hosted by Klovis, and in the Klovis website chat widget. For how we handle personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Websites can also keep information in your browser's "local storage" and "session storage". UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, PECR) treats all of these the same way.
A website may use them without asking first when they are:
- strictly necessary for a service you have asked for;
- used only to remember your choices about how the site looks or works;
- used only to collect statistics that help improve the service; or
- used only to detect and fix technical faults.
For the last three, the site must tell you clearly and give you a simple, free way to object. Anything else, such as advertising cookies, needs your consent first.
2. The Klovis app (app.kloviscrm.com)
The Klovis app does not use advertising cookies.

Error monitoring and session replay (we rely on the exceptions for detecting technical faults and for statistics that improve the service)

You can object to session recording at any time, free of charge, by emailing legal@kloviscrm.com, and we will switch it off for your account. Error reports will still be sent when something breaks.
Page-speed measurement. Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load. It does not use cookies or store anything in your browser.
3. Booking pages and help centres
Booking pages and help centres that Klovis hosts for our customers use the same error monitoring as the app, including session replay with all text, inputs and media masked. If the help centre has a chat widget, section 5 applies.

Our website also loads fonts through Google and scripts from Webflow's delivery network. These services receive your IP address when your browser fetches the files.
5. The Klovis website chat widget
The widget runs on our own website and, if our customers choose, on theirs. On a customer's website, that customer is responsible for the cookie and privacy notice, and decides whether the widget asks visitors for consent before it starts tracking.

When "ask for consent" is on, the widget does not record page views or create a tracking identifier until you agree. If you start a chat, it creates an identifier so your messages can be delivered. The widget does not store your IP address. It records only your country, which it works out from your connection.
6. Emails and links sent through Klovis
Our customers can turn on open and click tracking for HTML campaign emails they send through Klovis. It is off by default and never applies to plain-text emails. When a customer turns it on, their emails contain a tiny image and links rewritten through go.kloviscrm.com. These tell the sender whether the email was opened or a link was clicked, along with the IP address and device used. Customers can also send personalised links that connect a recipient to their visits to the customer's website. The customer sending the message is responsible for having a lawful basis and telling recipients about it.
7. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary items, you will not be able to stay signed in to Klovis.
